Invitation to Submit Proposal for Sport Education Programme (SEP) & School Sports Fiesta

Triathlon Singapore is pleased to share that we are applying for triathlon to be included in the Sport Education Programme (SEP), an initiative by Sport Singapore and the Ministry of Education aimed at introducing endorsed sports into schools. Through SEP, schools are encouraged to adopt structured sports programmes that broaden students’ exposure and deepen their development. Each participating school is provided with a S$10,000 dollar-to-dollar matching grant for them to take up sports programmes from an endorsed list.

By leveraging the visibility and outreach of SEP, we aim to:

●        Increase awareness of triathlon among schools and students

●       Provide introductory experiences that demystify swim-bike-run

●       Highlight the sport’s values of resilience, discipline, and all-around development

We would like to invite you to submit a proposal outlining the programmes you could offer to schools under SEP. Please include the following details in your proposal:

●       Programme structure and duration (e.g. 2 hours per session, 2 sessions per week)

●       Target student profile (e.g. beginners, talent identification, development squad)

●       Key learning outcomes and progression pathway

●       Manpower and safety framework

●       Estimated budget breakdown

School Sports Fiesta

In addition, your proposal should also include a draft program for an involvement with Sport Singapore’s School Sports Fiesta, which will serve as a strategic opportunity to promote triathlon to schools. This platform allows the sport to bring it to the school students and educators to experience the sport firsthand, positioning triathlon as a compelling option for adoption under SEP.

TAS will support programming-related expenses for the School Sports Fiesta, subject to the requirements outlined in your proposal.

The School Sports Fiesta is typically conducted as a half day, cluster-level event involving schools within the same cluster. Each activity group (approximately 30 – 40 students from different schools) will have about one hour or less at each sport station. Proposed fiesta activities may include workshops, introductory clinics, or skill-based challenges/leaderboard-style activities that are engaging and accessible to beginners. Activities should be engaging, accessible, and fun.

Your draft proposal for the Fiesta should include:

·       Just one slide outlining a simple overall concept for each activity group (including space requirements)

·       An estimated budget breakdown

·       You may propose multiple concurrent stations (e.g. 5 stations running simultaneously)
