Sports Events 2024 – Invitation for Partnership

The Triathlon Association of Singapore (TAS) invites event organisers to submit proposal to partner with TAS for the organising of the following events for a period of 2 years from 2024 to 2025, with an option for annual renewal for a further 3 years.

Notice of Annual General Meeting 2023

Notice is hereby given that the 2023 Annual General Meeting of Triathlon Association of Singapore will be held on Friday, 29 September 2023 at 7:00pm, via electronic means.

The 2023 AGM will transact the following business: –

  1. Welcome Address
  2. To approve and confirm the minutes of the 2022 AGM held on 29 September 2022
  3. To approve and confirm the Annual Report for the year ending 31 March 2023.
  4. To approve and confirm the Statement of Accounts for the year ending 31 March 2023.
  5. To appoint the external Auditor for the ensuing Year – 1st April 2023 to 31 March 2024.
  6. To transact any other business brought forward in accordance with the Constitution of TAS, Clause 14.4 – “Full Members who wish to table a resolution for the General Meeting’s approval must notify the Secretary General in writing at least fourteen (14) days before the date of the AGM.”

SG-Coach Level 1 Full Integration (Triathlon)

Triathlon Singapore will be conducting a SG-Coaching level 1 Full-Integration Triathlon Course for aspiring Triathlon Coaches!

In collaboration with SportSG, this course will cover THREE main certifications:

  1. Foundational Sport Science (FSS)
  2. SG-Coach Level 1 (Theory) – Inclusive of Values & Principles in Sport (VPS) and Safe Sport
  3. SG-Coach Level 1 (Technical) – Triathlon Specifics

FSS and SG-Coach (Theory) will be completed at the participants own pace via E-Learning online platform, SportSG-ED, while SG-Coach (Technical – Triathlon) will be conducted in a classroom settings. Estimated 20 hours of Online E-Learning, and 46 hours of classroom and practical sessions (excluding exams)

Course Objective

This is a community coaching course targeted for existing coaches (in other sport), teachers and community leaders working with beginners, children and youth in sport. This course will provide a broad perspective of coaching, roles and responsibilities, teaching methodologies and sport-specific skills for the sport of Triathlon.

The work of coaches at this level will be vital in supporting the development of new and existing triathletes. Participants will be introduced to the fundamental skills of Triathlon.

Pre-Requisites

  • Be 18 years of age and above
  • Ability to Swim and Cycle
  • Possess (of have the intention to possess) the following, which is a requirement to register themself as a Level 1 Triathlon Coach in the NROC :
    • Triathlon Singapore (TAS) Membership
    • Standard First-Aid Certification with CPR & AED
    • Life-Saving Level 1, 2, 3 or higher

Course Fees:

The total course fees is SGD $1,250 (inclusive of the compulsory SportSG-ED platform license fee)

Other Fees:

For FSS and SG Coach Theory Exam, participants will have 4 attempts. Re-assessment fees of $54 (inclusive of GST) will take effect after 4th failed attempt, for two more attempts.
