TAS Selection Policy – Youth Olympic Games 2018

TAS announces the National Selection Policy for the upcoming Bueno Aires YOG 2018 to be held in Oct 2018. The policydetails the selection process for athletes to race in the YOG Asian Qualifiers as well as for nomination of athletes to SNOC for YOG 2018. In summary, the process for qualification goes like this:

Eligibility check:

  • Singaporean
  • Athlete under the TAS HPP
  • Born between 1 January 2001 and 31 December 2002
  • Valid TAS Individual Membership

SGP qualifying race: Subic Bay ASTC Triathlon Asian Cup (21 April 2018)

  • Top 2 Male and Top 2 Female Singaporean qualifies for Asian Qualifier
  • (Should there be less than 2 Singaporean, TAS discretion to select the athletes for Asian Qualifier)

Asian Qualifier: Subic Bay YOG Asian Qualifier ( 17 June 2018)

  • Top 5 Nation qualifies
  • Should a Singaporean comes in within top 5 Nation, he/she qualifies a place for SGP at the YOG 2018.
  • TAS shall nominate his/her name to SNOC
  • SNOC does the final selection of athletes to be going for the YOG 2018.
