FWCC - Triathlon Training Programme
The participation in triathlon has been on an increased over the past few years, but we realized that there are not many platforms available for participants to engage in structured training to improve in this sports.
FWCC is proud to be sanctioned by Triathlon Association of Singapore to provide triathlon training programme to participants who wish to be better prepared for their races., Whether you are a beginner, an experienced enthusiast who is trying to better your timing or an Elite athlete, we have programmes to cater to your unique requirement.
Presently our training schedule is as follows:
Tuesday – Run Training at CCAB, 7.30pm
Thursday – Swim Training at CCAB, 7.00 pm
Saturday – Long Run at MacRitchie Resevervoir, 8.00am
Sunday – Bike Training, 6.00am location to be decided
Fee : S240/month (TAS members will be entitled to a 10% discount)

ITU Level 2 Technical Official Seminar – Tateyama Japan (4 to 5 April 2012)
The ITU Level 2 TO seminar will be held in Tateyama Japan on 4-5 April 2012. The objectives of the course is to provide participants with the theoretical and practical training required to make them capable of officiating Continental Cups, Multisport Continental Championships, and Multisport Series Events as Technical Delegates.
Pre-Requirements:
1. 2 years of officiating experience
2. ITU Level 1 TO certification

3. Case Studies
Evaluation:
Candidates will be evaluated on Class attendance and must pass the exam.

What is the condition of the bicycle that I will be renting?
Ans: Our bicycles are catered specially for cycling event usage only, we do not do retail renting. The bicycles are in very good condition, if not, brand new condition.

2012 Asian Triathlon Championships Qualifier - Singapore Duathlon 2012 + Swim Trials
The 2012 Asian Triathlon Championships will be held on 7-8 April 2012 at Teteyama City Japan. As there will not be any other Triathlon races prior to the 2012 ATC, TAS will be using the upcoming Singapore Duathlon 2012 event as a selection race for the 2012 ATC.
1. Winner of the Open Category (18 years and above) and those that had finished within 5% of the winner’s time, will be invited to take part in a Swim Trial. Subsequently, Fastest 2 Male and 2 female will be selected to represent TAS and Singapore at the 2012 ATC, Elite or U23 Category.
2. Winner of the Sprint Category (16-19 years) and those that had finished within 5% of the winner’s time will be invited to take part in a Swim Trial. Subsequently, Fastest 2 Male and 2 female will be selected to represent TAS and Singapore at the 2012 ATC, Junior Category.
To be eligible:
- athletes must be a member of TAS.
- athletes must be willing to come under the TTS Scheme.
- athletes must be a Singapore Citizen
Please note that the 2012 Asian Triathlon Championships in Teteyama is a wet-suit race. (as water temperature is below 20 degrees). Participants on the Bike leg whom got lapsed will be DSQ.
All meals, accommodations and airport transfer will be covered. 50% of airfare will be subsidized.

Program Objective: Connect kids age 6 to 12 years in a program structure that enhances their self-esteem, self-discipline, perseverance, focus and sportsmanship in the three disciples- Swim Bike Run.
Program Goal: To provide educational, training, leadership, developmental program , and racing opportunities to promising young triathlon athletes who desire to race and participate in the sport of triathlon.

We are ready to offer water safety services to any water events, such as open water swim, triathlon, sailing, canoeing and other water sports and recreational events. We are equipped with 2 jet skis and a professional teams consisting of drivers and life guards. We have recently conducted successfully the Osim Singapore International Triathlon 2011 & Megatri 2011. 2011 Asian Triathlon Championship - Yilan Mehua Lake, Yilan County Taiwan
The 2011 Asian Triathlon Championship will take place at Mehua Lake Yilan County, Chinese Taipei on 23rd and 24th September 2011. The Triathlon Association of Singapore will be sending 5 triathletes who had qualified for the event via the recently concluded OSIM Singapore International Triathlon 2011.

Said Jeff Lim,"The triathletes are in good training shape and i am sure they will perform their level best in this Championship."
Honorary Secretary of TAS, David Hoong, has also been appointed to be the Technical Delegate for this competition. He will be assisted by Peter Chua and Omar A Bakar, members of TAS Technical Committee, whom had also been appointed to serve as Chief Race Official and Chief Transition Official respectively. Together with TAS General Manager, Mr. Eugene Ong, they will also represent Singapore as delegates for the Asian Triathlon Confederation (ASTC) congress on the 24th September.
