^ All volunteers must be able to commit themselves for at least one full day activity and attend compulsory briefing(s) prior to the event. We may remove volunteers from his/her duty if he/she fails to attend the briefing.

3.  Volunteer Positions

All volunteers must be at least 15 years old* and above (as at 31 Dec 2012) and must be able to attend compulsory briefing(s) prior to the event if required.

* If you are under 15 years old, please contact us personally. You have to submit an indemnity form with your parents / guardians’ signature & NRIC no.
In addition, you are not allowed to do certain roles (eg. Stretcher Carrier, Crossing Point Marshal).

 

Please note that indication of preferred volunteer role does not guarantee a placement within the position. Volunteers will be matched according to their preferences as much as possible.

 

 

4.  Volunteer Entitlements

 

Each volunteer will be entitled to the following benefits:

  • A Volunteer T-shirt (on race expo and race day, subject to availability)
  • Meals & drinks (where applicable)
  • E-Certificate of Appreciation ^
  • Community Involvement Program endorsement (CIP hours if applicable) *
  • Token of appreciation

(Allowance amount various depends on different volunteer roles)

  • Invaluable experience gained from being a part of an international sporting event

 

^ Volunteers will be given e-certificate except volunteer leaders; leaders will be given a hard copy volunteer certificate.

* For students who need to claim CIP hours, it is your responsibility to inform your school before being a volunteer if required.

 

 

5.  Volunteer Registration

 

If you are interested in volunteering for the event mentioned above, kindly go to www.sportsvolunteers.com homepage and register.

 

Please provide us with a valid email address, NRIC no., contact no. & home address as relevant information & notices will be conveyed through email or phone calls, and a volunteer leader certificate will send to the home address registered.

We will make every attempt to place you in your preferred position. Please note that the organizers will vet all applications and reserve the right to reject any applications.
